Let us introduce the up and coming new football talent of NI - STAR UTD. We have been working with Aaron from Star Utd for many years now on the embroidery and print on their kits. This season he approached us in relation to working alongside him in not only supplying the new 21/22 kits, working on the design element of the kit but to be a sponsor also. The timing couldn't of been more prefect as we had recently started working alongside the sports brand Acerbis Sportswear suppling football kits, rugby kits, basketball kits to running and tennis wear.
Star United is a long standing youth football team within the Ballymena area spanning the last 30+ years. During this time there have been a couple of high profile names that started their careers off here under the guidance of Arthur McClean, notably Brendan Rodgers and Michael O'Neill. Over the years as junior football teams grew within the area Star United might not be a name many are as familiar with. However one former player, Robert Crawford, decided to revive the club a little over 6 years ago. Training with maybe only 20 kids a night Robert was determined to give every kid a chance to play football. Slowly but surely word got around and the numbers grew. Star United became like a second family with many parents getting involved. As Roberts work commitments changed this saw Aaron Todd take over the reigns, also a former player. What drove Aaron was the club ethos of giving every kid a chance. Too often it was heard about kids as young as 7 being left on the sidelines. With this at the fore front the club now trains close to 60 kids, both boys and girls born between 2009-2016, again with the help of many parents. Currently Star United has a 2013 and 2014 team taking part in the Friday night small sided games at Ballymena Showgrounds. Saturday morning sees 2011, 2010 and 2009 teams taking part in the Harry Gregg foundation.
